Moon Cycle: Piano Suite 1983, Kurt Lichtmann
Four movements, improvised and recorded at the apex of the four main moon cycles: 1. Luna Nueva (New Moon), 2. Luna Creciente (First Quarter), 3. Luna Llena (Full Moon), 4. Luna Menguante (Last Quarter). That the ebb and flow of our inner lives as coexistent with the earth’s natural cycles is ancient knowledge. MOON CYCLE is a meditative music reflection of quiet inner moods, captured in the evening of the apex of each lunar phase. Through deep introspective introversion, translating the subtle psychic and etheric energies of the MOON CYCLE into inpsired music. Recorded on a very unique Hamilton piano, this fine instrument had a remarkable natural reverb – no external eletronic reverb was added to the recording. Cover Art: photo by Lisa Romm.
